I have replaced my RAM from 1GB to 2GB. After that, the system froze.. I was unable to operate the System. I get the BIOS password try to enter then I have to wait for 2hours before computer can be turned on. But when I used to try to enter the BIOS password, I don’t have the access to the BIOS. I have never face such a problem before. It happened to me only after replacing the RAM, but before that, I have never heard anything. My computer is Dell Inspiron 4500. Now I have never changed any password, so I am not able to do anything. Now I have to wait and see what happens in the next 2hours. Now, I don’t have any other option except just waiting. Can any one suggest me what to do?

I have changed the BIOS password three times but it always appears the same message: “Dell BIOS password required”. Then I restarted my laptop and the message disappeared. But when I press the F12 key, the Dell BIOS button appears and it has no effect. Then I restart my laptop for the third time and tried to change the BIOS password one more time.

i was able to successfully crack the [emailprotected] account in the following order (remember, root can only be obtained from partition 5, which is the one with the least free space), and then use the vi editor to change the password for the [emailprotected] account (note: you may need to install a vi editor on the windows guest to use this):
after making these changes, the best thing to do is to reboot the device and the next time it boots, it will prompt you for a new password. you should be able to login to your host with the new password without any problems.
the new password recovery feature is easy to use and offers some interesting options, including being able to boot the vm as a guest, or using a vm with one or more esxi host with all credentials loaded.
with the recent release of vsphere 6.5, vmware has included a new feature called the vmware vsphere 6.5 update 2 (esxi 6.5) that offers a new method to recover a lost root password on the esxi host. previously, recovering the esxi root password involved a two-step process of first resetting the esxi host to a pristine state and then resetting the esxi root password. this new method allows for the esxi host to boot with the root password which can be used to log into the esxi web portal as well as log into any esxi host with a vmware vsphere virtual machine manager (vmm) connection.
after you have an account and have your esxi server set up and running, you will need to log in and authenticate to the server. the username and password that you use to log into the server will be the same as your vcenter account username and password. this is the account that you will be using to do the majority of the maintenance on the esxi server. once you are logged into vcenter, you will need to go to the servers tab and then click on the name of the esxi server that you want to update. at this point, you need to ensure that the remote root login is enabled on the server. to do this, select settings in the management menu, then go to the security tab, then select remote root login and select remote root login enabled.
