- Understandably, the most significant upgrade in a long time to the program is a new UI, although admitedly the changes seem small compared to what Adobe has done in the past.
Adobe showed off a new roadmap for Photoshop and a new demo video on its website, Adobe Connect Live. You can view a live version of the webcast at the Adobe Connect website (no registration required).
The price of the new edition is $700 in North America and €699 in Europe. But if you already own a current version of Photoshop, you can upgrade to the new edition for $150. Depending on your product, you’ll get anywhere from 1/3 to 1/2 of a gigabyte of free memory. You’ll get a $200 Adobe Creative Cloud annual subscription for members with an existing subscription, and that’s free.

The Adobe Photoshop plug-in for Lightroom has been around for a long time, but users who purchased early editions were able to upgrade into the full core program at no additional cost.
