Ahh! if I had a computer of my own I could play this. I heard of an old guy who’s in his 80’s and he had decided to make and RPG that’s just like you see from the old days. Imagine my astonishment when I found out there was a sequel to a game I had played so long ago.I’ve always been more a strategy/RPG kind of guy. I hate fighting games, never did well at them and am a perfectionist, so I would much rather focus on building a cool character and then win at the end that way. The Elden Ring did a great job of combining the power of strategy with the traditional RPG play that makes that so satisfying.As a software engineer I love the extra depth and quality they put into such a simple game. Just the ability to change your face and hair colors was great! I love that they made sure they can change your clothing a lot. Nice touch. So it’s nice to have options in nearly every facet of the game.As I mentioned before I like strategy games so combat was never that important to me. I like to plan my own path and then unlock a lot of NPC’s and items along the way. I was a bit disappointed because at first I thought they forgot to add single player mode. Yes you can take on a single opponent or you can go multiplayer but not in the same mode. I thought I was about to face off against a massive enemy army but instead got to enter a kingdom and play through one of those extremely long RPG’s. I was really disappointed that I wouldn’t get to play through a single player campaign but more disappointed that I didn’t get to get a chance to enjoy one.I guess I was expecting the sequel to be more of the same. It was really good. More of the same is never good enough for me. They really nailed it with this one and I hope they can make a few more games like it…. I would like to know more about that old guy…because I would love to have such a deep, beautiful, game made by a single guy in his retirement…
